Dry skin often lacks water and oil. A watery serum alone on dry cheeks can leave you tighter by lunch without a cream seal.

At a glance

Time: ~5 minutes · Best time: evening · Age: all ages

Steps

  1. Gentle cleanse (cream or soft gel — not harsh foam twice daily).
  2. Humectant on damp skin (glycerin / HA-style water layer).
  3. Cream or balm seal — richer at night; lighter if daytime humidity is high.
  4. Morning: moisturise if needed, then SPF that doesn’t pill — wait 1–2 minutes between layers.

Side effects

  • Sting: barrier may be raw — bland cream only, see sting guide.
  • Congestion if very occlusive on humid oily zones — use less on T-zone if combination-dry.

Watch

This is general cosmetic education, not a medical diagnosis or prescription. Persistent rash, swelling, or eye involvement needs a qualified clinician.
